Roberto Capucci e l’Antico

Tributo alla Vittoria Alata

Giacomini Meo Fiorot Fondation - Mazzuchelli Museums

Santa Giulia Museum, Brescia - Italy

Massimiliano Capella - Francesca Morandini

Set inside a suite of museum rooms and ancient Roman houses, a UNESCO site in Brescia – Italy, the exhibition aims to connect and contrast Roberto Capucci’s creations withthemuseum context.

The exhibition relies on the strength of the location’s architectural elements to create more than a merely staging relationship between the ancient and the modern. At the heart of the exhibition is the sculptural dress “VittoriaAlata” (Winged Victory), expressly created by Capucci, and inspired by the First Century Roman bronze that symbolizes the city of Brescia.
